Open Blue cobia wins business with Publix (undercurrent news)

US retail giant Publix Super Markets is now featuring farmed cobia from Miami-based Open Blue, an open ocean fish farming company with fish farms in Panama. Publix is featuring the product throughout March and a week in April in all of Publix’s 1,077 stores in the Southeast market.

The stores will offer discounts, samples, and recipes of the product, which Open Blue markets as a rich and buttery fish with a meaty texture that lends itself to a variety of cooking methods, including grilling, broiling, or sashimi style.
