Open Blue, the largest deep water open ocean aquaculture company in the world is pleased to participate in the event hosted by the United States Embassy and PANAMCHAM, the Panama/America Chamber of Commerce on June 26, 2016, to celebrate the Inauguration of the Expanded Panama Canal.
The Panama Canal Expansion Program is the largest construction project undertaken in the waterway since its opening in 1914. It is anticipated that the expansion will provide the world with greater shipping options, better maritime service, enhanced logistics and supply-chain reliability. Panama further anchors its position as a global, interconnected hub for transportation to serve growing world demands.
“At Open Blue we benefit from being at the center of one of the world’s largest and most innovative transportation hubs. We feel Panama shares our values and supports our vision to help feed current and future generations in harmony with the ocean.” says Javier Visuetti, Manager Community, and Government Relations at Open Blue.
Panama provides a perfect global location, an exceptional workforce, a vibrant infrastructure and a supportive pro-business environment. We are honored to celebrate this important event and look forward to building a sustainable future together.
